What to Expect
WHEN YOU WALK IN OUR DOORS, EXPECT A WARM, FRIENDLY WELCOME.
We are God’s Family and exist for the purpose to bring glory and honor to God, to serve others and love God and one another, so that we may continually grow in our faith in God and the hope we have as God’s children.
SINGING
Worship with a cappella singing results from our hearts’ collective gratitude to the Father, praising Him and edifying one another.
Colossians 3:16 Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.
PRAYER
Public prayer to the Father through Jesus Christ, on behalf of the congregation and led by a male Christian, as patterned through prayers given by Jesus Christ.
Luke 11:1-4 One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.” He said to them, “When you pray, say: “‘Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, Give us each day our daily bread. Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us. And lead us not into temptation."
LORD’S SUPPER
Together we remember Jesus Christ, partaking in the Lord’s Supper on Sunday. Made available at both morning and evening services.
1 Corinthians 11:23-26 For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.” For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.
OFFERING
Free will offering of individuals of the congregation on Sunday.
1 Corinthians 16:1-2 Now about the collection for the Lord’s people: Do what I told the Galatian churches to do. On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with your income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made.
PREACHING
Various able men of the congregation on any given assembly will teach a sermon from the Bible, designed to correct, rebuke and encourage one another, with the goal of being both uplifting and challenging.
2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.
BIBLE CLASSES
Before Sunday morning worship services and on Wednesday evenings, we offer Bible classes for all ages, from infants to adults.
